Greetings!
We would like to take a minute to let you know about an exciting ministry called “Taking America Back Promotions.”
Taking America back promotions (TAB) is a “booking” agency. Our goal is to reach lost souls through the ministry of music. We currently have some 50 artists, which we can bring to your church to present the gospel of Jesus Christ in song. These artists vary in style of music, including southern gospel, country gospel, contemporary gospel and bluegrass gospel. These artists range from quartets to soloists. Most of our artists will come to your church for a “love offering”, but some of the full-time artists do ask for a set fee. We hope that you will consider allowing us to book a singing in your church in the up coming months. We will be happy to arrange a singing around some special event or need that you may have. We have had successful fund-raisers and great homecomings.
We look forward to hearing from you in the near future and would ask that you remember our ministry and staff (listed below) in your prayers.
Gene Wilson Biography
I was the son of Rev. Jodie R. Wilson and Alma (Guy) Wilson. At the age 17 I started
singing bass with the Carolina Quartet and then I went into pro wrestling for 17 years. My father,
mother and mother in-law encouraged me to get back in church and sing. Two years later I did ask
JESUS back into my heart. So after booking 3 singings, I went to Rev. Pierce and told him I felt
like God was impressing on me to put on more gospel singings. I asked him to pray about it, and
we were visiting my wife's family home and were invited to visit their church with them. The
church was a very big Church of God. The singing was great. The pastor started his sermon and
he stopped and looked to the back of the church (where we were sitting) and said GOD SAID
FOR YOU TO PUT ON GOSPEL SINGINGS. Well I knew my prayer was answered. Upon
returning home I went to hear the Steeles in concert. I knew Jeff Steele for many years. After the
concert I was able to share with Jeff all about my vision and he said to call it TAKING
AMERICA BACK Promotions. TAB was on the road for GOD. TAB has been very busy
booking groups for churches for the last 10 years. It has been a blessing to all.
Keith Crowe Biography
My background in Southern Gospel Music goes back some 46 years where I began my music career by singing in my church choir and in local groups. I also
learned to read music during this time. As time went on I became more involved in music both as part of a quartet and directing music in my church. About 9
years ago I became part of a Taking America Back Promotions, booking groups in churches and other venues in the Southeast. I have had the opportunity to interview and sing
with some of the biggest names in Southern Gospel Music. I currently write a weekly newspaper column entitled the Southern Gospel Music Corner. Certainly through my years in music I have had
many highlights. Among them are my interviews with Hovie Lister, Buddy Burton, James Blackwood, Bill Shaw and the list goes on.
Over the last 3 years or so I have been a part of the South Carolina Shape Note Singing Convention and our local chapter the North Greenville Singing
convention. Shape Note singing is a style of singing that goes back many, many years and is the very core of Southern Gospel Music.
